FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q.1. Is this scheme an Insurance shceme?
Ans: No. This is not an Insurance scheme. This is the MUTUAL BENEFIT SCHEME(MBS) run by the IMA KSB for the benefit of IMA Life members and their families.
Q.2. If the member is already enrolled with any other scheme can he claim on both sides.
Ans: YES. He can claim on both. as our KSHS is not an Insurance scheme. The member can submit the attested copies of the, medical bills along with originals. Originals will be sent back after verification within a week. If the member had the facility of cashless with other scheme, he can produce only attested copies.
Q.3. If a member is not claimed in any year is there NO CLAIM BENEFIT?
Ans: No. This is not an Insurance scheme. It is a benefit scheme. In Insurance if a member claims one year, next year his premium amount will be more, claimed amount percentage will be added. But with this MBS no additional amount will be collected.
Q.4. Are you going to reimburse the whole amount as per the bill?
Ans: No. Only 75% of the total bill submitted and as per the KSHS reimbursement tariff. The room rent upto the tune of Rs.1000/- per day will be considered.
Q.5. If a lady member undergoes hysterectomy or any other operation at corporate hospital are you going to reimburse accordingly?
Ans: No, it will be reimbursed as per the tariff of our health scheme
Q.6. What is the age limit?
Ans: Upto the age 85 years for IMA life member and their parents can join. Once they join before the age of 85 years they will be continued as the member till their last breath provided they continue to renew their membership every year.
Q.7. Are there any pre- medical tests required above the age of 45 as per Insurance?
Ans: No medical tests are required and no age bar.
Q.8. What are the diseases included? Are medical diseases like , hepatitis, typhoid, Dengue fever are covered ?
Ans: All the diseases irrespective of medical or surgical are covered, more than Rs. 5000 bill will be covered with minimum 24 hours admission.
Q.9. Whether chemotherapy for cancer patients, renal dialysis are covered in this scheme?
Ans. Yes, both are covered. There total bill in one year up to Rs.2 lakhs ( in parts ) will be covered.
Q.10. Are you going to reimburse the hospital bill if a patient dies during hospitalized?
Ans: Yes, upto the tune of Rs 2 Lacks (maximum) or 75% of the hospital bill will be reimbursed.
Q.11. If the IMA Life member dies whether the Beneficiary member’s membership is terminated?
Ans: No. Their membership will be continued provided the Beneficiary member continues to renew every year.
Q.12. Is there any Family Package for the whole family.
Ans: No. It is individual member scheme. Every member of the family has to enroll separately.
Q.13 Does the Annual Advance Premium Contribution (AAPC) changes as per the advancement of age during renewal?
Ans: Yes
Q 14. Shall we have to submit the applications separately for each member?
Ans: Yes. Each member will be given a separate identification number.
Q.15. Shall we have to submit the Medical examination or fitness certificate.
Ans: No. Preexisting diseases will be covered in the scheme.
Q.16. Shall we have to pay separate premium for each member separately ?
Ans: Yes.
Q.17. When will the scheme be launched ?
Ans:The scheme has been launched already.
